HILO, Hawaii — A official at the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says Hawaii "dodged a bullet" after a major earthquake sent powerful waves roiling around the Pacific. It still will be about an hour before officials will be willing to give an all-clear in Hawaii, but there were no immediate reports of major damage around the Pacific rim. just tidal surges that reached up to about seven feet in some island chains. It's scary stuff!!!

Ok, well, those listed people are missed, dearly,but we know exactly where they are. Toby Lapesarde Sr., Nora Lee Lapesarde are in their respective  gravesites, may they rest in peace. They both lived long lives and ended their journey on earth in California, long before Hurricaine Katrina. Doris Davis was never lost, niece of Nora Lee.She is alive and well in New Orleans.  The rest of the Lapesardes that are still living are in Los Angeles.

Both Me(Shiquita Swain) and my sister (Lauren Swain) were able to fly out to Houston by our family. We are all back in New Orleans a very happy.

To the person looking for Elton Madison, I hope you have located him. I served as a volunteer at the Camp Gruber relief location in Muskogee, OK where many people from New Orleans were temporarily relocated. I had first hand contact with Mr. Madison and at that time he was trying to locate his wife. I have no information other than that but I wanted you to know that he was present after the disaster, and alive and well, in Oklahoma for a short time.
